C’mon, you all know the song.

So I was poking through my DVDs looking for something that I hadn’t watched in a while, and stumbled across a DVD I forgot I’d bought, still shrink-wrapped and unwatched.

o/` Me and my Arrow
Straighter than narrow
Wherever we go, everyone knows
It’s me and my Arrow

Dayamn, I still love The Point!

That was the most wonderful animation I ever saw (The Point). And I felt very much like the little round headed kid, odd man out. I saw it the first time it was shown on national TV. I never realized they turned it into a DVD, I should look into getting a copy.

Curiously, the DVD is not really the version shown on TV. Because of some bizarre legal technicality, they haven’t been able to use Dustin Hoffman’s original narration after the first broadcast. The DVD I have is narrated by Ringo Starr; the two re-broadcasts following the initial one were narrated by Alan Thicke and Alan Barzman (who later was the voice of Herb Penguin on the magnificent Beakman’s World).
