Frankly my dear, I just sprained a neuron.

I just had a full Technicolor mental image of “Gone with the Wind”, with Rhett and Scarlett played by Groucho Marx and Margaret Dumont.

I need to go poke my mind’s eye out now.

“Frankly my dear, that’s the most ridiculous thing I ever hoid!”

I might actually be able to endure that.

Someone once wrote an AH story about that. Margaret Mitchell dislike the choice of Clark Gable (which she really did) enough to get the Marx Brothers in the film instead. “A Night at the Plantation” turned out to be the most Oscar-Winning Comedy in history.

    • I have GOT to see that.

It’s Called “A Night on the Plantation” and it’s by Brian N. Thomsen. I don’t know where else it might be, but it’s in the book “By Any Other Fame”, a collection of AH stories edited by Mike Resnick and Martin Greenberg.
