Stress factor — strongly diminishing.

Had a *terrible* row with my mom by email over the last couple days. ‘Tis over now, she understands what she did wrong. We are two extremely stubborn people, she and I… *immense sigh of relief*

But apparently not so stubborn as to make a permanent rift. Be thankful for that.

Nope! Blood in my family is not merely thicker than water … it’s about on the same sticking scale as superglue. :)

*hug* so glad to hear things are better.

Only two days? She and I used to fight much longer than that.

Maybe three or four days … I don’t feel like going back and counting the emails. We also escalated to peak levels pretty fast, too. And now we have de-escalated.

I think I can guess the topic or topics that created some of the friction. But I am glad you patched things up quickly; I wouldn’t want to have to decide which one of you to visit for the holidays this year! o(;o)

Oh, this wasn’t friction, this was a 90 mph impact into a bridge abutment with no seatbelt or airbag. See, she listens to lunatics like Art Bell (or whoever’s doing his show now) and professional liar Rush Limbaugh … which means that things that are merely plain ridiculous start to sound reasonable after listening to them.

She says she listens to them because they’re entertaining, not because she agrees with them… which is possible, anyway: Grandpa used to listen to Rush until Grandma made him stop, because she was tired of hearing him yell “You dirty SOB!” at the radio. XD

Anyway, all is good now. And she’ll think twice before forwarding on any damn email that comes along without actually thinking about it first.

I have always credited your mom (and still do, really) with more intelligence than the average Rush or Art Bell listener. Of course, the average Rush or Art Bell listener has the intelligence of a peach pit.

Her swing to the right is troublesome. Time for some Re-Neducation! o(:o)
