Shades of Dick(head) Cheney…
Well. The Idiot-in-Chief’s nominee to the Supreme Court is never-been-a-judge Harriet Miers, who has been heading up the nominee search program. Anyone else reminded of when Cheney headed up the VP search in ’00 and ended up coming back recommending himself?
You know what he’s doing–nominating someone without a paper trail so that maybe, just maybe, he can squeeze in someone closer to Scalia and Thomas, rather than closer to O’Connor.
Contact your Senator. Demand that they demand straightforward, solid answers. Miers is an unknown and there’s no excuse putting an unknown on the Supreme Court.
Pointless project completed!
So I went back and tagged all my LJ posts, dating back to day one (which happened to be Jan 15, 2004).

Three cheers for Connecticut!
This past Saturday, Connecticut joined Vermont as the second state to offer civil unions.
It ain’t perfect, but it’s a step in the right direction.
